Treble in Central Park

SCAD Animation Collaborative Production Class
Role: Producer, 3D Animator, Concept Artist
3D Animated Clip: September 2020- November 2020

A comedic silent short animated sequence that tells a story based on three words that you receive. Our jumping point words: Piano, Rope, Angry

This was my second time working on a student film with the first being Bearly. Because of my background in learning about production management I took the role as Producer for this film and exercised and practiced my 3D animation and illustration skills to help out in other areas.

One of the first things I did for the film was sketch out character ideas for our concept pitches. With our film ending up being"Treble in Central Park" I focused on doing some prop designs and figuring out the colors of our characters.

Google Sheet

As the Producer one of the first things I did was make a Google Sheet to track our progress. I started by listing out who on our team would be doing what and assigning tasks to them. After that I broke our storyboards/animatic into shots and sequences and wrote our a description for everything. I also kept a list of props and environment assets we would need modeled. As we progressed I would adjust the color of each specific column based on the status.

Discord Group

To communicate outside of our class and share files we used Discord. The Director of the film and myself created channels and I kept them clean/organized per department. Each class and week I would post an update on what needed to be done as a whole (per week and future goals) and what was expected of each person. I would also take notes for everyone on our crew even if they were present.
